Thousands of racers have participated in the Lake Ontario 300 Challenge over the past three decades. Some in the actual ‘300’ nautical mile race and others, those without flying sails, in the shorter 180 nautical mile challenge. Whether they were racing the longer Main Duck course or taking the Scotch Bonnet route, the LO300 meant being out on the lake for 3 or 4 or 5 days or more in whatever weather conditions happen to hit in mid-July. The Loor committee had an thorough discussion this morning and have made the difficult decision to cancel Saturday's LOSHRS race due to the wind conditions that are forecast for Saturday, gusts in excess of 30- 35 knots for most of Saturday This decision was based on the safety of the participants. There will still be a race on Sunday, but it will be along the lines of race #1. The Participants meeting will still be held at PCYC tonight at 7:30 to update people on Sunday's ra
