LOOR is moving towards becoming a certified Green Regatta Organizer.  It will take time and effort from the whole sailing community, organizers and participants both, but the goal is worth it.  The 20 points below are each a step towards meeting the objectives established by Sailors for the Sea for organizing and participating in Green Regattas worldwide.  See how you measure up!

ELIMINATION OF SINGLE-USE ITEMS

 

 1. Eliminate Single-Use Water Bottles and Provide Water Refill Stations

 

 2. Eliminate Plastic Straws

 

 3. Serve Food with Plastic-Free Dinnerware

 

 4. Use or Provide Reusable Bags

 

 5. Award Gear or Use a Perpetual or Upcycled Trophy
