In case of any conflict between the information presented below, and NoR & SIs, the NoR &SIs take precedence. 

Registration

​

​

  • Skipper must select crew and send emails through Yachtscoring to all of them.  Skippers are also responsible to ensure that their crew have filled in all appropriate information before the race.  

​

  • If from Ontario, the Skipper must belong to a Yacht Club that is a member of Ontario Sailing.  If the Skipper is not a member of such a club they may instead be a member of Ontario Sailing Maple Fund.

Documents

The following documents must be completed to race. They must be submitted via Yachtscoring, or via email to 'registrar@loor.ca' for the two items marked with an asterix below. Note that the 'submit documents' on Yachtscoring does not work.​  

 

They must be fully completed before mandatory check-in on Friday July 14, 2023.

​

There may be a penalty if submitted after the deadline of July 11, 2023.

Safety Documents:​

​

  • * Safety Document. aka LOOR OSR Compliance Certification.​​​ 

​The following are reference materials to help complete the Safety Document.  These do not have to be submitted.

​

​Rating Certificates:

​

  • The boat must have a current rating certificate that is current and valid for racing (PHRF-LO, ORC, or GLMRA) as appropriate.  This does not have to be submitted but must be available on request. LOOR does not manage and cannot change rating or measurement systems.

Crew Waiver:

​

  • All crew must have completed the waiver which is on their crew corner on Yachtscoring.  Crew Corner access is granted after the Skipper adds crew and emails them through Yachtscoring as stated above.

Crew Overboard :

​

  • *50 % of crew participating must have participated in the drill and signed the sheet.   It can be scanned or photographed and sent to registrar or handed at Mandatory Check-in.  Crew Overboard form can be found here.

Emergency Contact List:

​

  • Emergency Contact for all crew INCLUDING Skipper and SOLO racers

​

  • This information is not populated from any other page of YS.   It is important in case of emergency that we have accurate information of the exact people on board and ONSHORE contacts for everyone including the skipper in one spot.   Skippers must must log in to 'Owner's Corner', click on 'My Crew List', and the Update your information.  See image below:

Solo Racers: 

  • Have additional requirements.  Must be a member of GLSS or be  accepted by GLSS, by submitting a resume.   You must submit receipt of GLSS at registration

LO600: 

  • Must have completed a race similar to LO300 in the crewing category planning to race LO600

​

Before the Race:

​

Refunds  NOR 5.5:  

  • Must be requested from registrar@loor.ca.  Note that full refunds may not be granted, depending on timing.

​

PCYC:

  • Slip request from PCYC - do not phone or use PCYC visitor or reciprocal links ONLY use LO300 link:  The deadline to request slip is: Wednesday July 12, 2023

​

  • Parking - may be restricted to back lot for all but please be considerate and park any cars staying over night in the back

​

  • Dinner Friday night - Best if preordered as quantities are limited. Call  â€­(905) 278-5578‬ or email davids@pcyc.net

  • Club rules - please be respectful and:

    • do not wear hats in the clubhouse

    • do not bring your own alcoholic beverages into the clubhouse or onto the patio.  This is a violation of PCYC's liquor license.

    • Be mindful that smoking is not permitted in most areas.  signs are posted.
